LSU 60 Western Kentucky 10 This will be over as soon as the game starts. LSU should get a chance to rest their starters and play young players early.
Ole Miss 24 La. Tech 17 I actually would not be surprised to see La. Tech pull off an upset here. The Rebels have to really be down after the beat down from Kentucky last week and the firing of their head coach Houston Nutt. But some kind of way they get a victory.
Vanderbilt 17 Kentucky 14 Vanderbilt is at home against Kentucky Saturday afternoon. The loser can probably forget about making it to a bowl game this year. Vandy has played good defense all year while they haveĀ struggled to score. Kentucky has struggled to score also until last week against Ole Miss. The Vanderbilt offense has had trouble finding the endzone. But I think the better defense here is Vanderbilt and they will get the victory.
Arkansas 31 Tennessee 17 Something tells me Tennessee will hang around at Arkansas Saturday. But the Hogs just have to many athletes especially with all the injuries the Volunteers have. Tennessee makes it a game for a half and then it’s over.
Alabama 24 Mississippi State 21 My almost upset special of the week in Starkville. The Bulldogs looked the best I have seen them look since the first game of the year last week. The Tide has to be a little down after last week. I don’t know how Mississippi State will score 21 against the Alabama defense but they will in a game that goes down to the wire.
South Carolina 31 Florida 24 I must be crazy to think the Gamecocks can put up 31 points but it’s time for their defense to score a TD or two again. Connor Shaw will play QB Saturday after the concussion last week. Everything hinges on how well the South Carolina offensive line can block this week. If they block like they have for the last month Carolina will go down again. Florida special teams keep them in this game and maybe win it.
Auburn 38 Georgia 35 Auburn always seems to play well at Georgia. They have had 2 weeks to get ready for this game. The Auburn offense should be running on all cylinders this weekend. The question is can the Tigers defense hold the Bulldog offense down enough to pull out the victory. With 2 weeks to get ready I think the Tigers beat the Bulldogs in a mild upset. Georgia has a lot riding on this game especially if they go into the game knowing South Carolina has already won earlier in the day. All they need to do is win and they are the SEC East champs. Providing they beat Kentucky next week. No problem. But Auburn is standing in their way this week.
