Another week of SEC football has passed. It’s hard to believe the college football season is almost over. There were several games against non-conference opponents that were blow outs as expected.
After South Carolina knocked off Florida 17-12 early Saturday afternoon Gamecocks fans were hoping for an Auburn upset of Georgia. But it looks like Auburn has quit on this season. They certainly did not even show up against Georgia. It looks like Georgia will win the SEC East. All they have to do is defeat Kentucky Saturday.
Arkansas looks like they are peaking at a good time for their game against LSU in two weeks. I thought Tennessee would put up a little better fight against the Hogs this past Saturday night but they are just no match for a team of that caliber right now.
Vandy is within one game of being bowl eligible after their victory against Kentucky. Vandy has two away games left on their schedule and both are winnable against Tennessee and Wake Forest.
Mississippi State played Alabama really tough before a home crowd in Starkville. They lost 24-7 but their defense looked liked the Bulldog defense of old. Something for coach Dan Mullen to build on the next few weeks and next year.
Ole Miss has quit playing it seems. I said La.Tech could beat them and beat them they did.
